I am a qualified primary school teacher with over twenty years experience, and am CRB checked.
I currently work with various schools on weekdays and devote my weekends to private tutoring.
I also have a degree in Psychology. I asses each child carefully, and work to meet their individual needs: to boost confidence and facilitate the attainment of goals. I always follow a reward based approach using positive reinforcement, as children learn best when they are happy. Parents often comment they are very happy that their child could has so much fun, while making huge progress.
Children come to me for a variety of reasons. The most common being; building confidence in English or Math;, 11+ tuition; to work towards gaining entry to selective schools and SATS booster practice.
The tutoring sessions themselves are one to one basis, and relevant concepts are reinforced at home.
